Sharpen Your Kitchen Skills, with Chef Cynthia Mendoza

Learn proper knife handling and maintenance from a professional chef!
Chef Cindy will lead you in a hands-on knife skills session, followed by a cooking demonstration. You will sample the afternoon’s recipes and receive a Culinary Knife Cuts “Quick Tips” Guide to use at home.
Chef Cynthia Mendoza holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration and spent the last 20 years working in corporate America. Following her passion for food and nutrition, she pursued certificates in Integrative Nutrition and Culinary Arts. Chef Cynthia studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and became a Holistic Health Coach, certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) and graduated from Ecole de Cuisine, where she studied Culinary Arts, under the tutelage of Chef Farid Zadi, and Food Writer and Historian, Susan Parks.
In 2018, after a SIBO diagnosis, Chef Cynthia left corporate America completely, and has been focusing on recovering her health through the GAPS diet. She is an avid cookbook collector and lives with her husband and dog Diego in Monrovia.
