Traditional Korean Kimchi and Special G.F. Soba Noodle Workshop, with Master Chef Glenn Ochi

Learn to make traditional Kimchi with Chef Glenn Ochi. Kimchi is the most flavorful ferment on the planet! In this workshop Glenn will guide you through the step by step process of making traditional Korean Kimchi. And, for an added bonus, we will also be making a special preparation of Glenn’s recipe of gluten-free buckwheat soba noodles.
You will take home your own fermenting jar of Kimchi and we will have the delight and pleasure of also making and eating gluten-free buckwheat noodles to take home!
Glenn Ochi is a local resident who is passionate about food and preparation of making healthier alternatives such as fermented foods that contains all the needed nutrients and beneficial probiotics for our body. He has been making kimchi and other fermented foods for many years and taught fermentation to students when he was an instructor at the Le Cordon Bleu culinary school for 17 years. Glenn also participated in the Santa Barbara Fermentation Festival last year and came in third place with his flavorful kimchi. Along with his love of cooking, he also hand-makes and sells his unique one of a kind ceramic fermentation pots here in the CC101 store.
