Fire Cider Workshop, with Brie Wakeland

October 6, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join food preservationist, Brie Wakeland, as she shows us how to make our own herbal medicinal preparation also known as an oxymel. Fire Cider is a tonic produced by steeping citrus, ginger, garlic, onions, horseradish, turmeric, and habanero peppers in apple cider vinegar for a minimum of six weeks.

Fire cider is stacked with so many immune boosting and powerful active ingredients that it’s incomparable to other supplements and drugs that claim to boost the immune system.

Fire cider is a sweet, spicy and vinegary homemade tonic that has been used for many decades to prevent and fight off colds and flu, boost the immune system and many other health benefits.

Fire cider is made from raw, simple, and powerful ingredients that we use every day. We will use these simple ingredients to make an amazing and healing tonic that is at least 10x more effective than the over the counter supplements.

Fire cider is one of a very few medicinal herbal tonics that can be easily made, using nature’s most powerful ingredients. Create one of the most effective herbal remedies and tonics that the whole family can reap its amazing health benefits.

Through her deep involvement with the LA Arboretum, LA Public Libraries, Garden School Foundation, The Gourmandise School, and Slow Food LA, Brie has led hundreds of classes to adults and children.
