CANNING Whole Tomatoes & Fermented Pepper Salsa, with Brie Wakeland

Join food preservationist, Brie Wakeland, and discover how to extend your summer harvests by learning how to safely can tomatoes using the water bath canning method. You will also prepare a delicious lacto-fermented pepper salsa to take home in addition to a jar of canned tomatoes. This is a three hour class that includes a few extra tasty surprises!
Through her deep involvement with the LA Arboretum, LA Public Libraries, Garden School Foundation, The Gourmandise School, and Slow Food LA, Brie has led hundreds of classes to adults and children. She is certified as a Food Preservation Instructor through Slow Food LA, and the late Ernest Miller.
